Apparently in 1605, when Vincent de Paul was only 24 years old, he was captured by Turkish pirates, taken to Tunis and sold into slavery. Two years later, after converting his master to Christianity he escaped and returned to France.
Today I paid a final visit to the restaurant. After explaining to my boss that I wouldn't like to continue working under such conditions, I bade farewell to the home of my favourite crêpe and chocolat chaud. Unlike Vincent de Paul, even despite my best efforts, I don't think I had any influence whatsoever on the tyrannical comportment of my former patron.
